Wandering the back streets of Charleston, I came upon this interesting piece of brickwork. As I was framing the shot, a well-dressed man on a bicycle slowed down and said “My law firm owns that property. We built that wall around that tree. It was expensive, but you know, anywhere else in the world they would have cut the tree down. Only in Charleston.”
I had to laugh. He said his firm won an award for this work. I congratulated him.
Art is everywhere.
