ACA Health Insurance Enrollment Doubles in SC

Enrollment in private health insurance plans through the HealthCare.gov marketplace has more than doubled in South Carolina since the start of the year, according to recent federal data.In line with national patterns, only one-quarter of those enrollees are between 18 and 34, continuing concerns there won’t be enough younger, healthier people in the mix.As of March 1, 55,830 people in South Carolina has chosen a plan through the marketplace created by the Affordable Care Act, up from 24,116 at the end of December.
